Space Boulders are a set of twelve black hempcrete boulders designed for the new office space of Ellex Raidla.

Hemp is a versatile and ecological material, absorbing more CO2 per hectare than any forest or commercial crop. Developed over the course of a year, the boulder collection is based on a material research into local lime, hemp shivs, clays and natural pigments, in order to arrive to a bioregional and visually dark hempcrete mixture. Together with the help of local craftsmen, each piece is hand-casted into a custom made form work and coated with a layer of wax to ensure a sealed surface.

Comissioned by Aeris Interiors with the goal of integrating more ecological materials into corporate environments, the boulders are designed for the new office of Ellex Raidla, revolving around orbits and cosmic textures, with the atmosphere of a space station. Hence the name Kosmosekivid, referring to meteorites or boulders from space.
